learning, distributed teams and virtual communities. Her work spans the
globe working with international development efforts and helping create
numerous online communities filled with enthusiastic people sharing

Ken Thompson, who blogs on Bioteams is an independent consultant and writer on all aspects of "virtual collaboration" between people in the same and different organisations. Ken's background is IT and coaching virtual teams, virtual business networks and virtual communities. For the last 2 years Ken has been researching the organisational patterns and communications of 'real' biological teams such as ants, bees, dolphins, biological cells and whole ecosystems and how we can learn from them, but not be limited by them, in creating our own high performing teams using virtual technology and new working practices.
Dr. Ted Kahn is co-founder and CEO of DesignWorlds for Learning and co-founding principal of CapitalWorks, LLC . He's also a Fellow of the New Media, adjujnct faculty member at Foothill College Krause Center für Innovation and was recently named a Fellow at the Center for Science, Technology & Society at Santa Clara University. During the 90's, Ted was a Senior Research Scientist & Technology Strategist with the Institute for Research on Learning (IRL), where he was a co-founder of the US Dept. of Education-funded Silicon Valley Challenge 2000 Multimedia Project. He has over 35 years of experience in innovation and action research in technology and lifelong learning, combined with development of several award-winning commercial educational multimedia products and projects. His main emphasis now is on global web-based collaborations linking K-12 schools, museums & informal learning, higher education, and teacher professional development, with a strong focus on the creative and social dimensions of technology and learning. He has a passion in facilitating collective 'know-who' and 'know-how' in creating online communities.
Robin Good (Kolabora) is an online publisher (Masternewmedia ), researcher, and writer on the smart and intelligent use of new media technologies for effective communication. Robin, an expert in interface, information and identity design, is also recognized on the Internet as a reputable independent analyst, trendspotter, and opinion-maker in many different fields including new media, online collaboration, independent publishing (The Weblog Project), communication skills (Master Views) and social change (Communicationagents).
